I know living in a hot place during summer, like good ole’ Florida, can make dressing difficult. From stepping outside to the dripping humidity, to sitting in a cold office for hours, dressing can sometimes get confusing.
Today I wanted to put together one of my favorite office looks to take you from outside to indoors. My biggest tips are to layer, layer, layer and to wear clothes that cover your body but are lightweight in material. That being said, my first and favorite piece of this outfit are White House, Black Market’s, ponte slim ankle pants!
I am obsessed with the ponte slim ankle pants from WHBM, they cover your legs, but are light in material, so you won’t be dripping in sweat when you step outdoors. Yet they’ll keep you warm and stylish indoors.
For the top I would wear a sheer long sleeve shirt, with sleeve that could easily be rolled up. One of the best shirts for transitioning from hot to cold is Express’sPortofino shirt! They have a crazy selection of portofino shirts that are sure to fit all different types of styles.
And to top off the outfit it’s always a good idea to bring a heavier jacket that you can throw on over your portofino top! I recently picked up this number from Express and am dying to wear it out!
And I can’t forget about all those guys out there who struggle with the same problem! For all my fellows out there struggle to get dressed for work, while keeping it comfortable, need to try these awesome new men’s underwear! Created by CEOs just like you, to make your workdays a little more comfortable. Check them out here
What are you top tips for dressing at the office, while not melting outdoors?
Today I went with something put together and casual, but decided to add a colorful scarf to brighten it up and make it more playful! It is easy to make an outfit more fun by adding a trendy patterned scarf. 🙂
This season leather seems to be the staple piece for any wardrobe, and I am LOVING it!
I do not own many leather clothing pieces and it is way to hot in Florida for leather now. But next time I go shopping I will be sure to pick up as many leather pieces as possible. ;P
Leather is usually considered a nicer, high class clothing material, but it does not always have to be expensive to be nice. I found some great leather clothing pieces that look just as nice as the expensive stuff.
Here are a few leather clothing pieces that everyone should look into!

Key rings are not just good for holding your keys, they are also good at holding your pants shut!
This may seem a little odd but we all have to admit that we have had those pair of pants or shorts that just don’t seem to stay zipped. And no one wants to walk around with their pants zipped down because that can just be embarrassing. And i do have to admit that I have used this trick a few times myself and it works like a charm!
So here is a quick little tip to help you keep your fly up.
