If you follow along on my Instagram or read my last post you would know that I’ve been in DC for the past weekend!
Of course we visited some memorials and indulged in delicious foods such as these amazing homemade pop tarts from ‘Teds Bulletin.’ I do not think I have ever tasted a pop tart so delicious! If you’re ever in the capital hill area you must stop by, if even just for the pop tarts!
Besides the delicious bakery section, their main course foods were just as good; as I feasted on this HUGE breakfast burrito!
I would have to say the Capital Hill area was by far one of my favorite places we visited. The area had so many little boutiques, bakeries and restaurants, as well as this pretty mural that we stopped to take a photo by. Another one of my favorite places in this area was Georgetown. The University was absolutely breathtaking and looked like something out of A fairytale.

Even the homes in Georgetown were pretty and colorful. Just walking down the streets and looking at the homes was entertaining.
After Georgetown we had even more delicious food. One thing I had to have while here was sushi so we visited ‘The Sushi Bar,’ near Alexandria. And it was so good! And of course knowing me, I had my fair share of icecream and when I spotted a Ben and Jerrys down King Street I indulged.
Besides all of the good food, we wandered through DC and stopped at some breathtaking monuments such as the Lincoln Memorial.
DC is definitely a place of history and everyone should take time to visit. It’s a gorgeous town and well worth it. 🙂
Hope everyone’s had a lovely weekend! I know the weather in Florida has been amazing, with the temperature in the high 70s, low 80s.
I know most of you are probably dealing with some crazy cold weather, but hopefully this outfit will bring back memories of a warm summer!
I always have fun taking photos in this cute little boutique, Apricot Lane!
A part of graduating from Florida Gulf Coast University is volunteering for 100hours at a non profit organization. As a transfer student I am only required 40, but today I found the place I will be acquiring all 40 hours, plus some!
There is this amazing project called The Talkin’ Monkeys, and they are literally doing such a awesome things for these animals.
A few of the primates here were saved from horrible, abusive homes, and now live in an amazing sanctuary where they are well looked after 24/7.
Today was only orientation so we did not do too much interactive activities, but I am looking forward to spending many hours here.
I will be posting more about my time at Talkin’ Monkeys, and I will show you guys the bond I create with these amazing, intelligent animals.
