When In Spain

While hoping through Europe we had the pleasure of staying at an old Spanish, remodeled, castle. And of course I couldn’t go without wearing one of my favorite summer dresses. Side note: obsessed with these new shoes, and will forever be getting my shoes from Shu Shop

Day to Evening Dresses

I love a versatile wardrobe, it makes dressing day to day so much easier, and what is easier to thrown on then some cute dresses?! Lyst has some of the perfect day to night dresses, that are for sure to come in handy when you’re in a pickle on what to wear.

Today I’ve chosen some of my favorite looks to take you straight from work to dinner with your hot date, or drinks with the girls.

Work Look and A Hot Date

These are the perfect dresses to take you from work to your hot sushi date. Throw on a flattering jacket and some closed toed shoes for a sophisticated work day look. And ditch the jacket and swap out your shoes for some hot pumps or thigh high boots to make these the perfect date night looks. [SHOP HERE]

Work Look and Drinks With the Girls

A girls night out calls for that trendy, cute dress you’ve been dying to break out of the closet. Bring a light sweater, some flats to get you through the work day and maybe even throw your hair up in a ponytail to keep it out of your face and make it a little more casual look. To take this from day to night, toss the flats for you favorite new booties or wedges, let your hair loose and throw on your favorite lipstick! [SHOP HERE]

Just Because it’s Fall!

I had to throw in a few other sleeved dresses from Lyst that I am obsessing over! The season’s are changing, meaning it’s time for some new pieces! [SHOP HERE]

Miami Wandering

In case you didn’t know, I’ve moved to Miami Beach for the next couple of months and could not be more excited! Two things you will learn very quickly: 1. the night is never over in Miami and 2. it’s a foodies paradise.

And what better way to start out this new adventure than with a bright, colorful image to greet the visitors of AroonMelane. Shoutout to this random apartment building that kept their hedges trimmed and grass green.

4 Trends to Try in 2016

With 2016 officially underway, it’s time to leave last year in the past and embrace everything new—and that includes fashion trends. Though chilly temps might still be the norm in most parts of the country, spring styles are already front and center in the fashion world. And as much as I love my sweaters and boots, the latest designs for the spring season make me glad to live in a place where I don’t have to wait until May to wear them! Keep an eye out for these must-try trends to add to your wardrobe in 2016.

  1. Half-Moon Bag

As soon as Victoria Beckham’s half-moon handbag design walked (or rather, was carried) down the runway at her Spring 2016 show during New York Fashion Week, fashion-followers everywhere starting lusting after the new “it” purse. As Glamour writes, the crescent-shaped style has all the key components of a bag of the season: it’s highly Instagrammable, has a distinguishable shape, and, perhaps most importantly, it’s roomy enough to hold all of your must-have items. Check, check, and check!

2. Shimmer and Shine

The holidays may be over, but don’t put away the sparkly pieces that you rocked during the annual party circuit just yet. High-shine details and metallic shimmer are in for spring, making every day feel a little more festive than usual. PopSugar’s coverage of this trend can be helpful, as it covers everything from shorts to cocktail dresses, giving you a way to wear a NYE-worthy outfit year-round.

3. Surprising Sneakers

If one thing is for certain, it’s that this particular trend of 2016 is not made for the gym, tennis courts, or any other type of sweat-inducing activity. Spring’s sneakers put a spin on the classic shape, elevating the once-simple shoe to a more interesting level. While some designers opted for a pointed toe or luxe fabrics, others showcased colorful stitching and metallic finishes. To find your new favorite pair of kicks, Lyst’s shoe collection is a good place to start. The sampling of different designers from across the industry ensures you’ll find just the right surprising sneakers for you.

4. The Slip Dress

A staple of ’90s fashion, the slip dress is trending once again for the new year, and it’s sexier than ever. The subtle, strappy slip of decades past has gotten a makeover, with feminine lace, ruching, and hints of graphic color. Still, if wearing the lingerie-inspired piece outside of your bedroom seems too risqué, top your slip dress with a light oversized sweater or layer a simple tee underneath.
