Frank Body Review

A couple months ago I was pleasantly surprised to find a beautifully packaged pink and white box outside of my door. And inside the box was even more cute packaged goodies! Frank had paid me a visit and I was not mad about it. ๐Ÿ™‚IMG_0122

I was sent the Frank Body original Coffee Body Scrub and Body Balm. First off let me just say I am a huge fan of these products because of their all natural and vegan ingredients.

Their body scrub is made with Coffee Beans, Almond Oil, Vitamin E oils and Sea Salt. And their body balm is a mixture of Coconut Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Coffee Arabica Seed Oil and Beeswax. All stuffย that we can actually understand and I’m all about those natural ingredients!

So besides the cute packaging and amazing ingredients, the products themselves have worked wonders for my skin.

The Scrub
I have relatively normal skin with a few breakouts here and there and a little bit of hyperpigmentation. I would use the coffee scrub about 2x a week as a deep exfoliator. I can instantly notice the texture of my skin smoothens, my skin appears brighter and my face is baby soft. My random breakouts have gone down and my skin feels overall more healthy, and not to forget the smell is incredible!

I have recently started using the body scrub for a few stretch marks that I have developed, so I will definitely keep you posted with any results I see!

The Balm
The body balm is also a great product and very moisturizing. Though I would recommend only using it at night, as it does not soak into the skin very quickly. Since it has so many natural oils, it takes quite longer than a regular lotion to set. That being said, apply this stuff all over before bed and you will definitely have baby soft skin by the morning.

I am so in love with both of these products that I am itching to try some of their new stuff. Especially their peppermint body scrub, yum!!

Check out the rest of their stuff at Frank Body!

Knowing When to Toss Your Makeup

It is easy to ignore the tiny symbols that are on your bottles, tubes, and containers of makeup. You probably have seen these markings hundreds of times as they appear on all of the products that you use. This includes toothpaste, shampoo, and nearly all of your makeup. However, as you are probably unaware of what it means, you tend to overlook it.

Actually, these little symbols are trying to tell us just how long we should use our makeup and beauty products for. Much like everything else, your makeup has an expiration date as well.

Thanks to dreammodels.dk for creating this helpful infograph!

Maybe it’s time to do a beauty product purge and get rid of those products you may not have known were out of date!

Vasseur Skincare

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/9fb/71358264/files/2014/12/img_1758.jpg

After trying countless skincare lines from brands such as Murad, Proactive, Clinique, Neutrogena and more, I have never came across a skincare line as good as Vasseur. I felt it would be selfish of me not to share this amazing brand with you all. Only after one day I noticed a major difference in the way my skin felt. I have normal to oily skin, and living in Florida the oily skin can get a bit crazy sometimes, but after using these products I noticed a dramatic difference in the amount of oily my skin produced, and my face was also incredibly soft.

I have been using these products for almost 2 months now, my skin has cleared up almost all the way. And my hyperpigmentation and red spots have also disappeared. I do not think I will ever use another skincare line again! Their products are on the more expensive side, for the amount of product you receive. But if you want clear skin, than it is worth the investment. (Shop here)

A little bit about their products:

  • They are made by hand and are never put in storage, so when you receive your products they will be as fresh as possible.
  • They are professional strength and highly concentrated. Their cosmetic chemist has over 30 years of skincare industry experience.
  • Their products are 100% toxin, paraben and chemical preservative free.
  • They are a creulty free company

This oil cleanser is not something I would usually like because it does not sud up when rubbed in your skin, but it is amazing! This products is high in antioxidants, including vitamin E. And the olive oil helps protects the skin against aging as well as keeping your skin glowing. (Shop here)

I always have to have a toner in ย my skincare regimen, and this one seems to work great, and it also has a yummy fruity scent! The papaya enzyme helps to remove dead skin cells and deep clean skin. (Shop here)

This little guy here is incredible! The benzoclear 5 is a less potent version of the benzoclear 10 they also have, but it is used for any breakouts you may have. I believe this product is why my breakouts have gone away! (Read and shop here)

This would have to be the only product that I was not completely satisfied with. As I mentioned earlier I have oily skin, and this product did not seem to help with the oil at all. If you have dry skin this might be worth a try. (Shop here)

Lastly the holy grail skincare product! This guy does everything, it brightens, smooths pores, anti-aging, filled with antioxidents, the list goes on. But this guy will never leave my side again. If you try anything from Vasseur this would be the thing to try. (Shop and read more here)

If you do decide to try out some of this amazing skincare let me know! You will not regret it. I have some more new products from them in the mail now and can not wait to try them out.

Happy New Year

(I have no connection with Vasseur at all, I just happened upon the company and fell head over heels for their products)

Fun Tip Friday: Makeup Expiration Date

Hi everyone! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas.

Today I am here with another Fun Tip Friday. This one will be fairly quick, but I hope it helps some of you out!

Recently I learned that makeup does in fact have specific expiration dates, so I went through my makeup and got rid of some products that were way past their recommend shelf life.

Most makeup products and beauty products have an expiration date, but not all. I have been checking everything! And it seems as if some beauty products do not have a date, but most makeup has a date.

Here are some quick images to help you locate the expiration date, and see if its time to throw your makeup out.

BN_ExpiryDates_Tip3
This little image should be displayed on the back of your product. The number inside of the image is the number of months the product is good for, after you have opened the packaging.

Expiry-dates-of-cosmetics
These dates may not apply to every single makeup product out there, but it is a good guideline for most.

I hope you enjoyed this Fun Tip Friday, and stay tuned this weekend for a skin care line that has been doing wonders for my skin.

Kiss Ready-To-Wear Nails Review

I am usually not one to wear stick on nails, or fake nails of any kind, but these ones caught my eye whilst browsing the beauty section at Target.
The Kiss gelFANTASY Ready-To-Wear nails provide two adhesive options. You can either glue them on, or stick them on with the provided materials.

IMG_1241.JPG
I thought the sticking option might be a little better for my nails, so that is the route I took.
I have fairly large nail beds which is why I usually do not try fake nails, but these “medium length” nails fit like a charm!

They lasted for over a week and could withstand a lot. I am not one to be very gentle when it comes to my hands, and these nails were very sturdy and did not effect any everyday activities I may have done.

After about four days I did notice that the end near my cuticles rose up a little and my hair would get caught underneath and pull out, which was not too pleasing. I would suggest just placing the sticker as close to the cuticle as possible.
IMG_1239.JPGIMG_1027.JPGAll in all I was pleased with the product and they are perfect for any special occasions.

They suggest soaking in acetone to remove, but I opted for the worse route you could take, and pulled them off. Do as I say, not as I do, haha. And they were easy to come off, there was no sticky residue and it was like they were never there.

I give this product a 9 out of 10

xoxo

Any recommendations for stick on nails?

Fun Tip Friday: Tips for Healthy Skin

helahtyskin
This weeks fun tip is about your skin!

My tips are usually based around our skin, and that is because having healthy skin ย is important and it boosts confidence! I’m going to share a few tips that I have learned throughout the years that seem to help. ๐Ÿ™‚

Tip 1:
Always wash your face in the morning and night. Do not sleep in your makeup ever! If you had a long night and are too lazy to wash your face with a cleanser, at least use a face wipe. I have learned from past experience that going to bed without washing your face can easily cause a breakout in the morning.

Tip 2:
Allow each serum to completely set before applying another. For my daily skin care routine I use a lot of different items. So if you apply multiple serums make sure to let each individual serum sit on your skin for at least a full minute before applying your moisturizer or another serum. This allows your skin to absorb more of the good stuff.

Tip 3:
Use a serum! If you do not use a serum, you should! They are great ways to target specific problem areas with your skin. I believe the serum is one of the most important parts to my skincare routine. I tend to use a brightening serum to reduce any discoloration on my skin. But they have serums to target any problem you may have with your skin.

Tip 4:
Everyone knows this, but always wear a SPF. I use SPF15 every single day, wether I am going to be outside or not. I have a fairly darker skin complexion so I tend to use a lower SPF, but any bit helps! Wearing SPF will help protect your fragile skin from the sun, and It helps protect your skin from aging as fast. ( I luckily do not have that problem yet)

I hope you found these tips helpful! I know a few may be some pretty common things heard around the beauty world, but they really do make a difference!

What other tips do you have?
