Eagle Island is the little island right across from our Alaskan cabin.
You only have a few hours a day when you can walk to it, and that is when the tide is low.
Every summer I never fail to explore the island and be amazed at all the colorful creatures you find.
I hope you enjoy this little adventure as much as I did
Whenever you find one, you find a ton
One of the main things you find on Eagle Island are thousands of starfish, waiting for the tide to roll back in.
This is a fat, fuzzy starfish. Not sure of its scientific nameSome baby starfishSea anemones and starfishA little trail on the island. Most likely created by the little minks and otters.Wandering through the deep crevices on the islandSunfish. Similar to a starfish, but as you can see they have a lot more limbsLots and lots of clamsLooking back on our cabin from Eagle IslandLove this place
I am so enjoying the pictures and information you are providing. I am seeing a small part of Alaska and reading of your daily activities and it is so interesting. Thanks so much and I will eagerly look forward to the next posting…Lena
This makes me so happy to hear Lena! I am only in Alaska for a couple more days, but I will try to squeeze in as much as I can before I return to Florida!
Good blog love it. Do my comments go to spam or can you read them. Xxx
